Procurement & Logistics Manager – Solar Energy, Global
We are a growing international solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company dedicated to delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions. To support our expansion, we are seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Manager with expertise in procurement planning, negotiation, and supply chain optimization.
This is remote position.
Area of responsibility:
- Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services required for solar EPC projects.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality standards, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery.
- Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Supply Chain Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, forecast requirements, and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and logistics functions to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness
- Compliance: Ensure procurement and logistics processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in international procurement and logistics, particularly in the solar energy and renewable energy sectors or related equipment industries (e.g., inverters, cables).
- Strong expertise in procurement planning, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Proven proficiency in operational excellence, inventory management, and analyzing supply chain data for optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and logistics, with a focus on Chinese manufacturers and regional operations in the Middle East and North Africa.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration across departments and international teams.
- Advanced proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software and tools.
- Fluent in English (Chinese language skills are a plus).
- Technical education background to support expertise in the role.
