As an HR Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations. You will play a key role in ensuring HR best practices, maintaining accurate records, conducting audits, and providing training to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, OSHA standards, and EEOC guidelines.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct regular HR audits, monitor employee records, and investigate compliance-related concerns, such as workplace safety, harassment, and discrimination claims.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns related to HR policies, benefits, and compliance matters. Provide guidance to management on disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees and managers on workplace policies, ethics, and legal obligations.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, including employee files, I-9 forms, and compliance reports. Ensure all required filings are completed on time.
  • Identify potential HR compliance risks and recommend proactive measures to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, labor law, or HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience conducting audits and investigations related to HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.

We offer:

  • Remote position

  • Schedule: Mon - Fr, from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm (California time)

  • 2 months of probationary period

  • Salary is 1000$ for a probationary period, after $1500
