Frontend developer (middle/middle+)

EWA Learn languages is an international company, with headquarter in Singapore. We have been developing our EdTech app (iOS&Android) since 2017, with over 70 million users registered on our platform and 500,000 active users daily. Our app has been translated into 40 languages.

We help people worldwide learn languages in an effective, easy, and fun way — through snippets of popular and beloved movies, TV shows, and memes.

What you will do:

• Develop modern web platforms for marketing purposes.
• Achieve results by writing great code in modern JS using the best development practices, as well as the latest Svelte and Serverless components.
• Contribute to the existing platform to reduce time to market.
• Maintain and improve the existing user interface code.
• Adhere to best practices for writing quality code, as well as our UX and brand guidelines.
• Propose more effective solutions to achieve business objectives.
• Communicate, learn, share expertise, and grow together with a team of go-getters.
• Participate in daily meetings: plan work, remove obstacles, and stay in sync with the team.

What you’ll bring:

• Proficiency with JavaScript, more than 2 years of commercial development.
• At least 1 year of experience working on an active project based on Vue/React/SvelteKit.
• Understanding of the development lifecycle and strict adherence to it.
• Excellent understanding of client-server application operation.
• Awareness of modern development standards.
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with code sharing (git + GitFlow).
• Responsibility, meticulousness, and a results-oriented mindset.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Node.js and/or Svelte.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, and serverless solutions.
• Experience with writing code in a functional style.
• Experience with integrating analytics systems.
• Experience with modern payment systems.
• Experience with web marketing.
• Experience in developing multilingual web applications.
• A strong passion for technology.
