Junior QA Manual Engineer (WEB)

BLD Soft is looking for Junior QA Manual Engineer (WEB) to work in the office on own line of products for IPTV/OTT.

What you will do:

• Perform web client testing (confident knowledge of DevTools required);

• Read and analyze logs (Kibana, Elasticsearch);

• Conduct pixel-perfect UI testing, including responsiveness on different resolutions and devices;

• Apply HTML/CSS knowledge in testing tasks;

• Work with cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage;

• Use Firebase (Crashlytics, Remote Configs);

• Perform black-box testing;

• Build application versions from any branch (deep knowledge of Git development and branching strategies required);

• Conduct component, integration, and regression testing;

• Work with APIs (Postman, Swagger);

• Work with databases (DBeaver, MySQL);

• Design tests and prepare test documentation (test plans, test strategies, test data);

• Prepare test result reports and track quality metrics;

• Estimate tasks and release timelines;

• Analyze and test application requirements;

• Participate in project requirement discussions;

• Support developers in testing new features in staging and supported environments (BA, PO, QA, UI/UX);

• Use written English for writing bug reports, tasks, and test documentation (A2 level);

• Demonstrate good communication skills, responsibility, attentiveness, and willingness to learn.

What additional skills will help you stand out?:

• 3+ years of experience in manual performance, API, UI, and web testing;

• Knowledge of microservices architecture;

• Experience testing feature flags;

• Understanding of video encoding/decoding and DRM;

• Experience analyzing and testing user behavior using analytics tools;

• Experience with Qase.io (TMS);

• Ability to independently identify root causes of bugs;

• Responsibility for platform/project testing expertise;

• Practical experience with test design techniques;

• Experience in localization and internationalization testing;

• Experience testing payment systems (Gr4vy, Authorize.net, PayPal);

• 3+ years of REST API testing experience;

• Experience with CI tools (GitLab, GitHub);

• Basic knowledge of Linux;

• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle;

• Appreciation of Agile principles and self-organization.
