We are seeking a skilled R developer with experience in handling large datasets. Experience in DevOps is a plus. This role requires hands-on development, code deployment, testing and collaboration across multiple technical teams to ensure seamless integration and upstream support of database systems.
Key responsibilities

Write and maintain code primarily in R, including automated tests; proficiency in Python is a strong plus.

Productize R code written by scientists.

Version-track code using git; maintain software development best practices.

Manage existing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other automation tools.

Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues, ensure high availability and performance.

Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, DBAs, and system engineers.
Required skills and experience
- Strong programming skills in R (required). Experience with handling larger-than-memory datasets. Experience with testthat.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (especially Jenkins).
- Experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.) and cloud-native application development.
- Strong understanding of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with database management or working closely with DB teams.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
