We are looking for a motivated Junior Android Developer to join our growing mobile development team. You will work on a feature-rich Android application that serves as a robust interface over a complex database. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to a meaningful, evolving product.

Tech Stack You’ll Be Working With:

  • Languages: Kotlin, Java
  • UI: Jetpack Compose, XML Layouts
  • Core Libraries: AndroidX (Lifecycle, ViewModel), Hilt, Coroutines, Room, Retrofit
  • Data & Storage: Room, SQLite helper
  • Tools: Git, Gradle, Android Studio
  • Testing: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, Robolectric

Nice to have:

  • Core Libraries: Navigation Component, Flow, OkHttp
  • Data & Storage: DataStore (Preferences/Proto)
  • Tools & Services: Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics), GitHub Actions / CI

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features and maintain existing functionality
  • Collaborate with the team to improve the app's performance, usability, and reliability
  • Work closely with the database layer to ensure optimal data handling and storage
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous improvement processes
  • Help refactor legacy code to modern best practices

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of Android development fundamentals
  • Confident in working with databases (Room, SQLite helper, etc.)
  • Willingness and ability to refactor and improve legacy code
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the team
