We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions that align with business objectives. The Solutions Architect will work closely with stakeholders, including business stakeholders, enterprise architects, business analysts, developers, and IT managers, to ensure that the technology solutions meet the company's goals. This role will also include high-level application design, ensuring that our software applications are robust, scalable, and align with our technical vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture solutions that align with enterprise architecture’s target architecture, business objectives, and technical requirements.
  • High-Level Application Design: Lead the high-level design of software applications, ensuring a coherent and integrated architecture across systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the company's technology stack and capabilities.
  • Solution Development: Lead the development of prototypes, proof of concepts, and the implementation of software solutions.
  • Integration Planning: Design and oversee the integration of various systems, applications, and services, ensuring seamless operation and data flow.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, data models, database schema records, and technical specifications.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that solutions adhere to security standards and compliance requirements, implementing best practices for data protection and privacy.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify areas for performance improvement and optimize systems for scalability and efficiency.
  • Team Guidance: Guide development teams, providing technical direction to ensure alignment with designs.
  • Project Management: Work closely with project managers to align on timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • Education: BSc., or equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Experience in high-level application and database schema design, including understanding software architecture patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile SCRUM development methodology
  • Experience and/or understanding of OutSystems low code applications and the OutSystems O11 platform
  • Experience of developing enterprise grade solutions in Azure low code platforms (i.e. Power Apps, Power Platform and Logic App).
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C# (preferrably), Java, Python).
  • Knowledge of the Azure cloud platform and cloud-native architectures including the pro code application stack.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.

Preferred Background

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Any relevant OutSystems certificates
  • Experience: Experience in industries such as shipping, manufacturing, or transportation
  • Knowledge: Understanding of data analytics, AI/ML, big data technologies, low code development technologies, agentic architecture.
