As Sr. Manager SCM, the role has an end-to-end Supply Chain functional ownership for the country.
The functional ownership encompasses: Purchasing and Product Supply, Inbound and Outbound Transportation, Last-Mile E-commerce Delivery, Inventory, Fulfilment, and Distribution Centre/warehousing operations.
As part of their leadership responsibilities, the Sr. Manager SCM Country is a member of the EMC Team, driving success and strategic initiatives within the Cluster.
The role reports to the Sr. Director SCM EMC (Emerging Market Central) and functionally to the Country General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Together with the EMC SCM and Country leadership, develop the SCM roadmap for the country to implement the global supply chain strategy that supports and meets the Cluster strategy, performance objectives, and customer/consumer expectations.
- Accountable for the end-to-end Supply Chain operations (Purchasing & Product Supply, Logistics & Transportation, Last Mile ecommerce delivery, Inventory, Fulfilment & Distribution Centre/warehousing operations).
- Make the business more competitive by ensuring product and on-shelf availability, speed, responsiveness, strong delivery performance and healthy inventory levels.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the country SCM Team.
- Data-driven analyses & assessments of SCM performance, root cause process improvement initiatives.
- Manage distribution centres/warehouses and 3PL partners to maintain optimal performance across all DC/warehousing KPIs, while challenging the status quo to ensure that our 3PL partners adopt an efficiency mindset.
- Lead an e-commerce delivery strategy for the market.
- Lead sourcing for the country, create healthy relationships with local factories and product creation teams.
- Full end-to-end ownership of financial KPIs like L0, L1, COS, DND. Accountable to prepare, submit and manage country SCM L0 / L1 budgets and RFCs as well as COS items within the given guidelines by the Sr. Director SCM EMC, along with the EMC SCM financial controller.
- Maintain routines to ensure delivery of core supply chain metrics in terms of product availability (OTA/OTIF), cost (SC cost absolute & as percentage of net sales), inventory/service, and establish adequate monitoring & reporting routines for all SCM-related KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key country stakeholders, including Brand, Finance, Commercial functions, Key Accounts, line managers, and the entire team, to ensure alignment with cascaded directions and objectives set by the Sr. Director SCM EMC and a smooth cluster execution.
- Ensure demand and supply are broadly in balance, including purchasing processes, by maintaining strong S&OP routines with finance.
- Together with the Sr. Director SCM EMC prepare project-related Business Cases as required and ensure timely execution in the approved budget.
- Develop and drive customer collaboration initiatives with local commercial functions.
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines and report to Sr. Director SCM EMC as well as Local Compliance Officer for any irregularity.
- Lead related SCM process improvements and efficiency programs and proactively bring up ideas for profit enhancement.
- Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and personnel development within the team.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University Degree with a focus on engineering/operations/logistics/business administration.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SCM, Logistics/Operations, and team management.
- Background with retail / FMCG, Sporting Goods industry ideal, not a must
- Fluent in English.
