AutoCAD Draftsman (Wood Staircase Specialist)

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM New York time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with strong experience in wood staircase drafting and calculations to work on-site in our Almaty office. This role requires technical precision, strong problem-solving capability, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

The selected candidate will play a key role in developing technical drafting standards and eventually grow into a Team Lead, as the client plans to build a small engineering/drafting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed and accurate AutoCAD drawings for wooden staircases.

• Perform calculations related to dimensions, loads, structural connections, and materials.

• Identify technical issues and propose practical solutions.

• Collaborate daily with the US-based team and follow US standards when applicable.

• Maintain drafting quality and ensure compliance with project and safety requirements.

• Train new team members in the future and help build a structured drafting workflow.

• Work independently and meet required deadlines.

Requirements

• Fluent English (verbal and written).

• Expert-level AutoCAD skills (2D required; 3D preferred).

• Proven experience with wood staircase drafting and calculations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work on-site in the Almaty office.

• Ability to work 6:00 AM–2:00 PM New York time.

• High attention to detail and responsibility.

• Experience with US construction standards is a plus.

• Leadership potential and readiness to grow into a Team Lead role.
