KPMG is looking for an experienced and driven Tax Compliance Manager to join our dynamic Tax team. In this role, you will take the lead in delivering high-quality tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. You'll have the opportunity to manage complex projects, mentor junior professionals, and directly contribute to the strategic development of our practice.

As our Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage tax compliance projects for local and international clients

  • Review tax returns and related reports prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on tax compliance matters and coordinate with tax authorities

  • Oversee the preparation of tax calculations, payroll, and related documentation

  • Ensure accurate accounting entries and proper tax treatment of transactions

  • Mentor and develop junior staff members

  • Contribute to business development activities and internal initiatives

You're the perfect match for this role, if you have:

  • A higher education degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or Economics

  • At least 5 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance

  • Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan tax legislation, especially corporate income tax

  • Proficiency in 1C and hands-on experience in preparing tax reports

  • Solid project management skills and the ability to work directly with clients

  • Fluency in Russian; English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher

  • Experience in an international company or a Big Four firm (preferred)

  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or DipIFR (considered an advantage)
