ABOUT THE EMPLOYER
Our client is an early-stage cybersecurity startup building a next-generation product focused on protecting endpoints against modern ransomware threats. Their core product helps detect and block unknown ransomware variants by reinforcing system behavior at a very granular level.The team is small, highly technical, and product-driven. They’re currently scaling to build a new product line and are looking for engineers who enjoy ownership, problem-solving, and working close to the product and founders.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Build and evolve backend services that power a cybersecurity product used to protect endpoints in real-world environments

Design and develop APIs using Python (Flask) that support both existing and new product features

Work closely with the frontend (Vue.js) to deliver reliable, user-facing functionality

Help shape the architecture for a new product, including data pipelines, event processing, and analytics

Contribute to infrastructure and deployment workflows running in a cloud environment

Collaborate directly with a small team to make technical decisions and move fast from idea to production
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Strong experience with Python and backend API development (Flask or similar frameworks)

Experience working in a cloud environment and understanding how applications are deployed and operated

Familiarity with infrastructure or cloud setup tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)

Experience working with analytical or high-performance databases, such as ClickHouse (or similar systems used for analytics, metrics, or large-scale data queries)

Experience with frontend technologies such as Vue.js or a comparable framework

Solid understanding of system fundamentals: APIs, data flow, scalability, and reliability

Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain ideas, tradeoffs, and technical decisions

Availability for 4 hours of overlap with Eastern Time (ET) for collaboration, meetings, and real-time work

Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
