Job Responsibilities

Assist the Country Manager in conducting in-depth research on the local market of natural gas transmission, gas processing & compression, oil refining, petrochemical, industrial chemical and coal chemical projects; proactively develop and maintain long-term, good cooperative relationships with key local clients including Uzbekneftgaz, Uzkimyosanoat, Navoizayot, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, Uzsuvtaminot, Uzbekcoal JSC, Chirchik JSC, Almalyk MMC, Gas Chemical Complex MTO Central Asia LLC, Bukhara Brilliant Silk JV LLC, Air Products Central Asia LLC, TatSinoNavoi LLC, Fargona Kimyo Zavodi LLC, Fergana Chemical Fiber Plant, Fergana Oil Refinery Plant LLC, Kokand Superphosphate Plant and other core enterprises.

Undertake English-Russian-Uzbek translation and interpretation work for official documents, business negotiations, on-site meetings and other scenarios with local clients; the language proficiency of the three languages shall reach C1 level or above to ensure accurate and professional cross-lingual communication.

Maintain high enthusiasm and ambition for business development in Central Asia, take the initiative to explore market opportunities and provide actionable ideas for the team’s market expansion work.

Coordinate internal and external resources efficiently, cooperate with relevant departments of the company to promote the smooth progress of market development, project tracking and project implementation work, and solve cross-departmental coordination problems in a timely manner.

Compile market development reports and work summaries on a regular basis, conduct in-depth analysis based on local market changes, industry policy adjustments and project progress, and put forward targeted optimization suggestions and practical improvement measures for the team’s work.

Job Requirements

Academic background: Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, International Business, Marketing or other related majors; professional knowledge matching the chemical/petrochemical/oil refining industry is preferred.

Work experience: More than 3 years of working experience in the oil refining, petrochemical or chemical industry; candidates with experience in market development, sales or project management in the Central Asian market will be given priority.

Market insight & local resources: Familiar with the Uzbekistan market, with in-depth understanding of local chemical/petrochemical industry policies, market operation rules and business environment; possessing solid local business connections and resource channels is a must.

Language & office skills: Fluent in oral and written English, Russian and Uzbek; proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for daily document compilation, data analysis and PPT presentation.

Work quality: Positive and passionate work attitude, strong sense of responsibility and executive ability; able to work independently, adapt to fast-paced work and bear certain work pressure.

Comprehensive capabilities: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong team cooperation awareness, and outstanding problem-solving and on-site response capabilities.

Work location & travel willingness: Be willing to be based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan for a long time, and accept short-term business trips to other Central Asian countries as required by work.

Salary and Benefits

Basic salary: 800 USD+ / month, negotiable based on personal academic qualifications, work experience, professional capabilities and local resource advantages.
