A leading international FMCG company is looking for a Category Management Specialist:
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales and gross margin targets for the assigned category
- Ensure target inventory turnover and optimize stock levels
- Improve assortment productivity using ABC/XYZ analysis
- Analyze category sales performance, margins, and turnover trends
- Optimize assortment matrices based on performance insights
- Manage pricing architecture and evaluate promotional ROI and uplift
- Reduce the share of slow-moving and non-liquid inventory
- Monitor market trends, shopper behavior, and competitor activity
- Prepare analytical reports and actionable business recommendations
- Identify growth opportunities across accounts and channels
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, and other cross-functional teams
- Participate in commercial planning cycles and business reviews
- Ensure high standards of in-store execution and visibility
- Provide constructive feedback and improvement initiatives based on field observations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, or Category Management in FMCG
- Strong knowledge of Trade Marketing and Category Management principles
- Advanced analytical skills and data-driven mindset
- Confident user of MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint); SAP experience is a plus
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment
- Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- University degree or equivalent education preferred
