Responsibilities:
- Source and attract qualified CDL drivers through job platforms such as Indeed and other recruiting channels.
- Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct initial qualification calls.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and pipeline stages in CRM platforms.
- Communicate job details clearly, including pay, route type, home time, equipment, and hiring requirements.
- Coordinate the hiring process from first contact through orientation and onboarding.
- Follow up with candidates consistently to reduce drop-off and improve conversion.
- Verify driver eligibility, experience, work history, and basic compliance requirements.
- Work closely with operations, safety, and retention teams to ensure smooth handoff of hired drivers.
- Track recruiting activity, response rates, hires, and other performance metrics.
- Build and maintain a strong pool of active and passive driver candidates.
Requirements:
- Experience in driver recruiting, trucking recruitment, or a related talent acquisition role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting tools, job platforms, and candidate sourcing methods.
- Experience using CRM platforms and maintaining structured candidate databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to present job opportunities clearly and professionally.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple candidates at the same time.
- Basic understanding of CDL driver qualifications, hiring process, and trucking industry terminology is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online communication tools.
