Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate service shop metrics such as repeaters, availability, workscope application, etc.
  • Develop and administer training programs as required to Wabtec and service shop craft personnel.
  • Identify, monitor and analyze defect modes to develop action plans to address defects.
  • Coordinate Engineering and Fleet Program Manager requests at service shop locations for information collection or tests.
  • Conduct audits and monitor actions to address identified issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement across key business objectives.
  • Develop and implement process controls.
  • Drive and implement a true quality culture into the organization.
  • Champion the use of Six Sigma in problem solving and work closely with Quality Leader to drive quality process.
  • Lead the customer external quality improvement activities. Review and update Playbooks and work scopes as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial )
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations/heavy equipment maintenance/quality roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Knowledge of English language at least at intermediate level

Desired Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma or ISO certification will be a plus.
  • Prior experience in Rail industry.
  • Technical knowledge of the Wabtec's Evolution series locomotives will be a strong advantage.
