Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate service shop metrics such as repeaters, availability, workscope application, etc.
- Develop and administer training programs as required to Wabtec and service shop craft personnel.
- Identify, monitor and analyze defect modes to develop action plans to address defects.
- Coordinate Engineering and Fleet Program Manager requests at service shop locations for information collection or tests.
- Conduct audits and monitor actions to address identified issues.
- Drive continuous improvement across key business objectives.
- Develop and implement process controls.
- Drive and implement a true quality culture into the organization.
- Champion the use of Six Sigma in problem solving and work closely with Quality Leader to drive quality process.
- Lead the customer external quality improvement activities. Review and update Playbooks and work scopes as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial )
- At least 3 years of experience in operations/heavy equipment maintenance/quality roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Knowledge of English language at least at intermediate level
Desired Qualifications:
- Six Sigma or ISO certification will be a plus.
- Prior experience in Rail industry.
- Technical knowledge of the Wabtec's Evolution series locomotives will be a strong advantage.
