Legal Counsel

We are looking for a Legal Counsel who will work closely with other departments within the organization, providing practical and business-oriented legal advice and supporting Yandex services in Kazakhstan.

You will be responsible for:

• Interacting with other departments, advising them, and providing recommendations on legal matters related to their commercial activities.
• Identifying legal issues, analyzing legal risks, and developing and implementing solutions aimed at achieving business objectives.
• Developing legal approaches and drafting commercial agreements and legal documents.
• Participating in inspections conducted by government authorities.
• Representing the company in administrative and civil proceedings.

You might be a fit if you have:

• A law degree.
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Code, particularly in property relations.
• Strong knowledge of trade regulations, consumer protection law, and civil law in supply and services.
• Excellent knowledge of administrative law related to inspections of legal entities and practical experience in this area.
• Project management skills.
• A readiness to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Confidence in decision-making and interest in non-standard tasks.

It’d be a plus if you:

• Have experience in retail.
• Have worked with marketing agreements, advertising, or intellectual property.
• Have litigation experience in lease disputes.
• Are familiar with enforcement practices in retail, marketing, and advertising in your region.
